The applicant should submit a 2-page abbreviated CV that includes educational history (degrees and dates awarded), employment experience (including any internships), most recent and/or most relevant authored or co-authored journal articles, abstracts, or other publications related to the proposed research

Members of the Oman Drilling science team are obligated to conduct post-drilling research on samples and/or data collected during drilling and publish the results. The applicant should submit a 2 page document outlining the analyses or research proposed for period between January 2016 and January 2018, explaining how this work relates to the drilling project objectives. The contents and quality of the participation plan, excluding the budget, will factor into the participant decisions. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to revise their participation plans in light of recovered samples and expedition outcomes.

Applications from graduate students must include a letter from their primary adviser documenting the student’s scientific experience and detailing how participation in the Oman drilling project would fit into their graduate degree program.
